I am Christian J. Peltier (pronounced Pel-CHAE), professional known as Jaybo Viewtiful, based in Austin, TX as an independent artist, producer, audio engineer, CEO, event coordinator, audio professional, etc.
Music has revolved around my entire life, such as my mom being an incredible songbird soloist, and joining the church choir alongside my grandmother. At the age of 10, I started on percussion in elementary school concert band while briefly living in St. Louis, MO. At age 12, I moved to Gulfport, MS where I would continue music education and performances. In junior year of high school, I served as leader of tenor drum section (quads), and by senior year, drum captain co-captains with Andre Woods at Harrison Central High School, an All Superior 5A high school marching band. During this time, I would be personally introduced to FL Studio, and the art of audio engineering.
I started a degree at University of Southern Mississippi for music production and management. While in school, I marched 4th bass in the Pride of Mississippi marching band as a freshman and sophomore. I also performed original music with the group, Team Cocky, while engineering records at Prolific Studios in Gulfport, MS.
By 21, I moved to Texas to start working full-time in the oil field industry, while also recording, producing, and performing music with AAOG in the Corpus Christi, TX underground indie rap scene. On April 20, 2012, I won 1st place at the 361 Showdown, presented by Johnny Smallz.
In Fall of 2013, I moved to Austin, TX to attend The Art Institute of Austin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Audio Production in 2018. In 2019, I attended many Beatstars meetups, gaining network with many in-town producers, artists, creatives, and the Beatstars president! Also, I partnered with 90 One to organize two beat battles, Battle of the Upcomers 1+2, which I hosted, participated, planned, and funded, to help showcase undiscovered, upcoming production talent.
My current music collective, Fly Renaissance, formed in 2014, has 2 albums published, and several videos to our singles on Youtube. I've engineered for artists in many studios, such as the Music Lab before the Tesla acquisition. I've performed SXSW, as well as several key hip-hop venues like Flamingo Cantina, Bat Bar, Scratchouse, Spiderhouse Ballroom, and more!
In 2023, I was awarded a grant from the City Of Austin to promote music events to increase the music community presence. In 2024, I claimed ownership of all unclaimed digital properties (50+ properties!). In 2025, I was featured on We Flex Podcast Network (WFPN), broadcasted by KAZI 88.7, for a spotlight on being a producer in Austin, Tx and stories from my journey! I served as executive producer for the audio and data restoration of the producer/artist, Supa Villain.
